Police have arrested a fugitive defendant in the Parsa manslaughter case after 19 years. The arrested person has been identified as Binod Prasad Kurmi, 54, a resident of Bahudarmai Municipality-2 and working in a company in Parwanipur.
He was taken into custody by the police from Birgunj Metropolitan City-21 on Wednesday, a special notice. Kurmi was accused of brutally beating and killing Ram Prasad Patel, 23, of Patelnagar, Ward No. 8, Lipani Birta VDC, Parsa, on the banks of the Sirsia River in Lipani Birta VDC-8 on Asoj 5, 2063.
