Sarlahi Police have arrested an Indian national with an undisclosed amount of money from Tribhuvannagar in the border area.

Brahmapuri Rural Municipality-4  While checking a motorcycle (BR 30 Y 3287) coming from India on the back road of Tribhuvannagar Police Post, the police took into custody 29-year-old Dharmendra Mahato of Sonwarsa Gram Panchayat-2, India. 12 lakh 29 thousand rupees were recovered from him, according to the District Police Office. Mahato has not been able to reveal the source of the recovered money. 

Superintendent of Police Yogendra Kumar Khadka informed that he was brought to the District Police Office for further investigation. 

The practice of sending money earned from other countries to Nepal through agents, private traders, individuals or unregistered agencies, or sending it from Nepal to foreign countries through hundi, has increased in the border areas in recent times.
