One person has died and three others have been injured in a road accident that occurred near Motiyahi Bridge in Chandranigahapur, Rautahat, on Friday.

Nagendra Patel, 40, of Bishrampur, Brindavan Municipality-2, Bishrampur, died when a bus (Na 4 Kha 6547) coming from Gaur to Chandranigahapur on the Chapur-Gaur section collided with a motorcycle (Na 39 Pa 4240) coming from the opposite direction near the Motiyahi bridge in Chandrapur Municipality-6, according to the District Police Office, Gaur. Patel, who was seriously injured in the collision, suffered injuries to his left leg and various parts of his body. Patel's two sons and a daughter were riding the motorcycle. According to the police, the deceased Patel's son, Yuvraj Patel, 12, who was riding the motorcycle, suffered injuries to his forehead. His daughter, Aakriti Patel, 11, suffered injuries to his left leg and head. Patel's 15-year-old son, Prince Kumar Patel, suffered injuries to his left leg, left hand, and forehead. Police said their condition is out of danger. The driver of the bus, Amrit Bahadur BK, who lives in Chandrapur-8, has been taken into custody and the incident is being investigated, according to the Area Police Office, Chandranigahapur.
