A meeting of seven parties on the formation of a new government in Madhesh Province has ended without a conclusion.
The meeting ended without a conclusion after the Congress and the LSP did not give up their claim to the Chief Minister, informed JSP Nepal Chief Whip Ram Ashish Yadav.
The Congress had maintained that it was the Congress's turn to provide the Chief Minister since the government had been formed under the leadership of all parties in Madhesh Province.
LSP, on the other hand, claimed the Chief Ministership, saying that the Jitendra Sonal government had not been in power for long and had to resign humiliatingly.
JSP Whip Yadav said that the Congress and the LSP had been given time to sit separately and reach an agreement. He informed that another meeting of the seven parties would be held later today.
