Police have arrested a person from Birgunj with hashish. The arrested person has been identified as 48-year-old Shamsul Mia of Dhobini Rural Municipality-5, Parsa.
Based on a special tip-off, the police stopped Mia, who was walking suspiciously on the road at Pratima Chowk, Birgunj Metropolitan City-15, at 10 am on Tuesday and searched her body. 10 kg of hashish hidden in a plastic bag was found inside the black bag she was carrying.
Parsa Police Spokesperson DSP Raju Karki informed that further investigation into the drug-related crime is underway after Mia was taken into custody.
