Police have arrested two people with narcotics near Gaur Road, Chandrapur Municipality-4, Rautahat.
Bhola Sah, 32, of Gaur Road, and Rajesh Rai, 28, of Chandrapur-6, were arrested by the Area Police Office on Saturday evening.
According to the police, Sah is an absconding accused in a banking case. A team led by Assistant Inspector Nilesh Pathak arrested Sah at his home and found 190 grams of brown sugar in his pants pocket during a check.
The Chandranigahapur Area Police said that Rai was also arrested based on his statement. The police said that further investigation is underway regarding the arrested Sah and Rai.
Locals have been criticizing the police for increasing drug trafficking in the Chandrapur area.
