A person died after being electrocuted on Tuesday night while connecting a wire to a microphone in Fatuwa Bijaipur, Rautahat.
Recently, there has been an increase in the number of deaths due to electrocution in various parts of the district. Ganesh Mahato, 22, of Ramdasi Tole, Fatuwa Bijaypur Municipality-6, has died of electrocution, according to the District Police Office, Rautahat.
Mahato was electrocuted while connecting a microphone wire at home at night. Mahato, who was seriously injured due to electrocution, was taken to the local National Hospital Bijaypur for treatment. From there, he died on the way to Kolbi, Bara, for further treatment, according to the district police.
The body has been kept at the Provincial Hospital Kalaiya for post-mortem. The police said that further investigation into the incident is underway.
