The Armed Police Force (APF) on Saturday arrested a youth with two state-of-the-art pistols in Chandranigahapur, Rautahat. The APF has handed over the investigation into the arrested youth to the Nepal Police.
While checking on foot from Deurali Chowk in Chandrapur Municipality-4, a team of the Armed Police Force arrested Suman Acharya, 22, of Padampokhari, Hetauda Sub-metropolitan City-13, Makawanpur, with an automatic Beretta pistol marked Made in Italy, one Soco magazine, and one Browning (CF) pistol, one Soco magazine, and 13 rounds of bullets, and a khukuri, informed DIG Krishna Dhakal, Chief of the Madhesh Province Office of the Armed Police Force, Bardibas.
According to DIG Dhakal, Acharya was arrested based on information from the Intelligence Bureau of the Armed Police Force Nepal. Both the pistols are state-of-the-art.
