One person has died after a car hit a Bagmati car in Sarlahi along the East-West Highway. Keshav Shiwakoti, 50, of Prasai Tole, Bagmati Municipality-4, died in the accident.

Shiwakoti was returning home from the Bala Chaturdashi fair in Bagmati last night when he was hit by a car with an unknown number plate.

Shiwakoti, who was seriously injured in the car accident, died at Neuro Hospital in Birgunj on Wednesday morning while undergoing treatment.

The car that hit the pedestrian and fled also hit a passenger bus with Bagmati Province 03-001 Kha 3455 number, police said. Police said they are searching for the car involved in the accident.
