A motion has been submitted to the Provincial Assembly meeting against Madhesh Province Speaker Ram Chandra Mandal for not behaving in accordance with his position. The motion was submitted to the Provincial Assembly meeting held on Wednesday.

The motion, proposed by Congress Chief Whip Kumar Kant Jha, is supported by Loktantrik Samajwadi Party (LOSP) MPs Upendra Mahato, Jawaharlal Kushwaha, and Rajkumar Gupta.

LOSP MP Mahato accused the Speaker of terrorizing the Provincial Assembly. MP Mahato alleged that he had beaten up employees and that he did not have the qualities of a Provincial Assembly member. He accused the Speaker of not allowing the Chief Minister to use the rostrum and allowing MPs to speak beyond the agenda.

On the 27th, 64 Provincial Assembly members from seven parties had registered a motion against the Speaker. On that day, the Provincial Assembly members had a dispute with the Speaker.

After that, the Speaker dismissed Civil Liberties MP Urmila Devi Singh, JSP's Manish Suman, Sinhasan Sa Kalwar, Sanjay Kumar Yadav, and Sarada Shankar Prasad Kalwar for being absent from 10 consecutive meetings.
