Locals in Siraha have taken out a 'money rally' against the government, alleging that bridges have not been built over the Kamala and Sahaja rivers along the Postal Road, which is considered the lifeline of Madhesh. The Postal Road Struggle Committee took out a money rally at the Siraha district headquarters on Sunday.
Despite the fact that the locals have been suffering for years due to the non-construction of the Kamala and Sahaja bridges, they allege that the government is not sensitive and responsible towards it. 'We have stopped feeling that the government is alive, so we have taken out a protest rally,' said Ram Rizhan Yadav, coordinator of the Sangharsh Samiti.
There was even a scuffle between the protesters and the agitators during the rally. Yadav warned that if the government continues to ignore their voices, they will be forced to go for a phased and decisive struggle.
