Leaders and activists of seven parties are also holding a sit-in protest on Friday against the appointment of UML parliamentary party leader Saroj Kumar Yadav (Mahottari) as the Chief Minister in violation of the constitution.

Leaders and activists of seven parties are protesting on the streets in front of the Madhesh Bhavan, the headquarters of the Madhesh Province Government. The seven parties are dissatisfied with the appointment of Yadav as Chief Minister in accordance with Article 168 (3) of the Constitution and the swearing-in ceremony at a hotel in Bardibas by the then Province Chief Sumitra Subedi Bhandari. The seven parties have been protesting by continuously protesting on the streets. 

Meanwhile, they have objected to the dismissal of five MPs for being absent from Parliament meetings for 10 consecutive times after a motion was registered against Speaker Ram Chandra Mandal for not behaving in a manner befitting his office. 

All five MPs who were dismissed reached the Province Assembly Secretariat in Janakpur on Friday and demanded an attendance record of their presence.
