Deputy Speaker Babita Kumari Raut has overturned Speaker Ram Chandra Mandal's decision to dismiss five members of the Madhesh Provincial Assembly.
Speaker Mandal had decided to remove five MPs from the Provincial Assembly on Thursday after a motion for 'misconduct' was registered against him in the Provincial Assembly.
Deputy Speaker Raut had dismissed them, saying that there was a video and photo of them participating in the discussion on the vote of confidence decision on the 22nd.
Mandal had removed Urmila Devi Singh (Nagarik Unmukti Party), Manish Kumar Suman (JSP), Sanjay Kumar Yadav (JSP), Sinhasan Sah Kalwar (JSP) and Sharada Shankar Prasad Kalwar (JSP) citing their absence from 10 consecutive meetings. 74 MPs from 7 parties had registered a motion against the Speaker alleging misconduct.
Speaker Mandal was elected from the UML while Raut was elected from the Janmat Party.
