A woman was injured in a knife attack in Birgunj on Wednesday afternoon. At around 2 pm in Chitragupta Tole in Birgunj-1, Nutan Karna, 42, the wife of Ajay Karna, who was staying at the house of local gardener Ramashankar Mali, was stabbed by her neighbor Khushi Barnawal, 32.
Barnawal had attacked Karna with a vegetable knife. Karna, who is currently undergoing treatment at Narayani Hospital, is in a moderate condition.
It is believed that the incident occurred due to a dispute between the two and Barnawal was immediately taken into custody and an investigation was launched, Parsa Police Spokesperson DSP Hari Bahadur Basnet said.
