Armed Police Force (APF) on Saturday arrested a teenager with a large quantity of smuggled drugs from Birgunj.
Police have taken 18-year-old Hari Om Kumar Paswan, a resident of Balirampur, Bishrampur Rural Municipality-4, Bara, into custody with various types of human-consumable medicines.
A team deployed from Border Security Force Birgunj under the command of Deputy Superintendent of Armed Police Purushottam Bhandari arrested Paswan with medicines worth Rs 958,913, which he was illegally bringing from India to Nepal by carrying them on his head from a farm in Inarwa, Birgunj-16.
The Armed Police Force has handed over the arrested Paswan along with the medicines to the Birgunj Customs Office for necessary action, informed DSP Bishwaraj Yonjan, Information Officer of Armed Police Parsa.
