A 12-year-old boy has died after drowning in a pond in Birgunj.
Sunny Kumar Sah, the 12-year-old son of Kanhai Sah of Musaharwa, Bara Bishrampur Rural Municipality-5, was found dead in a pond at Chhatighat in Sidhuwatol, Birgunj Metropolitan City-28, around 10 am on Friday.
A disaster rescue team deployed from Security Base Belwa under the command of Armed Police Deputy Inspector Lok Bahadur Karki and led by Armed Police Assistant Inspector Sanjeev Yadav from Armed Police Force Nepal No. 13 Battalion Headquarters retrieved the boy's body from the pond and handed it over to Nepal Police for necessary procedures, informed Bishwaraj Yonjan, Information Officer of Armed Police Parsa.
