Police have arrested a prisoner who escaped from Nakkhu Jail, Lalitpur, during the Gen-G movement. The arrested person has been identified as 39-year-old Lalbabu Sah of Ranighat, Birgunj-10.
He was arrested from his house by a police team deployed from Ward Police Office, Shreepur, Birgunj on the basis of a special information. The Parsa District Court has also sentenced him to 2 years and 1 month in prison and a fine of Rs 105,000 in a drug case.
He had been absconding and living in hiding during the Gen-G movement on Bhadra 24. The police arrested him at 5:30 pm on Tuesday. Preparations are being made to send him from the relevant prison, informed DSP Hari Bahadur Basnet, spokesperson of Parsa Police.
