Home Minister Om Prakash Aryal has directed the security forces of Madhesh Province to prepare for the elections on time.

Minister Aryal gave this instruction at a meeting of district and provincial security committee officials held at the Armed Police Force Chhinnamasta Bahini in Bardibas, Mahottari on Tuesday.

Minister Aryal told the provincial security chiefs and security committee officials of Dhanusha, Sarlahi, Siraha and Mahottari that the government is committed to holding elections on the scheduled date. He directed them to make necessary preparations as the government is committed to holding elections.

He has also directed the security mechanism to provide services in a way that the citizens of Madhesh feel good governance.

The meeting was attended by the provincial chief secretaries, provincial security committee heads, and security committee officials from 4 districts. Those present informed about the current security situation and challenges in the district and province after the Gen-G rebellion.
