A major fire broke out at a commercial establishment in Birgunj on Wednesday morning. The fire broke out at around 2:15 am.

The fire broke out at Rohit Chemical Traders and Rohit Sales Store in Birgunj Metropolitan City-16. A team of 43 security personnel, including Nepal Police and Armed Police Force, was involved in extinguishing the fire.

The fire brigade of Birgunj Metropolitan City, the fire brigade of Pokhariya Municipality, and the Birgunj Metro Tanker were taken to control the fire. No human casualties were reported in the fire.

The fire was brought under control at around 5:30 am. The cause of the fire has not been determined and the work of collecting detailed details of the damage is ongoing, informed DSP Hari Bahadur Basnet, spokesperson of Parsa Police.
