Nepal Pharmaceutical Manufacturers Association, Birgunj unit has handed over ten computer sets (including UPS) and four printers on Wednesday to facilitate the re-operation of Birgunj Metropolitan Municipality office which was completely damaged due to looting, vandalism and arson during Gen-G movement.

During the movement of August 24, all the furniture, documents, information technology equipment and other materials of Mahanagara Bhavan were burnt and destroyed. After the incident, the daily administrative work of the metropolitan city was affected. Speaking at the

material handover event, Rajeshman Singh, the head of Birganj Metropolitan Municipality, said that the support given by the Pharmaceutical Manufacturers Association during the difficult situation was very useful for the re-operation of the metropolis. He said that the support provided by the association is very important to facilitate the daily functioning of the metropolis.

Similarly, senior vice president of the association Prabhat Rungta said that it is a matter of pride to support the reconstruction of the city even in difficult circumstances.
