Janata Samajwadi Party (JSP) Nepal Madhesh Province's first convention will be held from Monday in Janakpurdham. A 51-member committee is about to be elected from the first session.

The Madhesh Pradesh Committee of the party held a press conference in Janakpurdham on Sunday and informed about the convention. Provincial President Balkishore Prasad Yadav said that around 500 delegates and 100 observers will participate in the convention. According to him, Madhesh province convention is going to be held after completion of ward, municipality and district conventions. According to him, one chairman, three vice-chairmen, one chief-secretary, three secretaries and one treasurer and the remaining members will be elected in the convention to be held at Mahendra Narayan Nidhi Mithila Culture Center in Janakpurdham. He informed that after 15 percent members of the selected committee will be nominated. So far, two people have prepared to run for the position of president in the

convention. Current president Yadav, former minister of state of Madhesh province Yogendra Yadav has already announced his candidacy, while former minister Gyanendra Kumar Yadav is also doing internal exercises. Yogendra Yadav has announced his candidacy and said that he is in Daudaha district to ask for votes. Since some of the demands raised from the previous movement have not yet been fulfilled, he said that he is going to file a candidacy to make the party active in that direction.

Criticizing the current provincial committee, he accused them of being inactive in the House and on the streets. Therefore, he said that he is going to resign from the position of central member and run for the chairmanship in the province. Until now, the leadership of our party in the province has failed. That is why there is disappointment among the leaders and workers," he said, "that's why I have applied for the position of the provincial president to make the leadership of the province active, to strengthen it and to represent the youth as well.''

Jaspa's current state president Balkishore Prasad Yadav has also claimed the state president. He said that he will become a candidate to strengthen the organization and protect it from crisis. He said that he will run to protect the achievements achieved with the amendment of the constitution and to achieve more achievements. He has been a central working committee member and trade union national president.

Former minister Gyanendra Kumar Yadav said that he has not openly claimed the chairmanship yet as he is in a coordinating role. There is a desire. But, first we try to reach a consensus . If necessary, I will also give candidacy . It is not possible to make an announcement right now," he said.
