The victims of the bus accident in Bardiwas-11 Khairmara of Mahottari on October 17 have closed the BP highway because they did not receive medical treatment.

The BP Transport Pvt. No. 6 B 1464 passenger bus was going to Kathmandu from Gharibathan in Sarlahi and Bardiwas-11 Khairmara had an accident.

6 people who were seriously injured in the accident were taken to Kathmandu by helicopter for treatment on the same day, but the transport business association and the bus operator did not provide the necessary coordination. The victims complained that the patients were not treated.

Similarly, 40-year-old Dirjaman Gole, 44-year-old wife Nirmala Tamang, 16-year-old daughter Asmita Gole and 23-year-old Bardiwas 11 are being treated at the National Trauma Center. The victim said that 2 patients are being treated in Patan Hospital.

President of Bardiwas-10 Pramod Moktan said that the local people were forced to close the highway after the bus operator and Transport Pvt.

1 passenger died on the spot and 1 passenger died during the treatment while the bus overturned after breaking the wall of Khairmara Lakshminarayan Secondary School, and nearly 40 passengers were injured. Protesters have warned that the highway will remain closed until treatment for the patients is ensured.
