An 11-year-old boy died after drowning in Jaleshwar. Shailendra Kumar Bhatt, Deputy Superintendent of Police, District Police Office, Mahottari, said that the child drowned in the flood water while taking a bath on Wednesday afternoon.
According to police, 11-year-old Salman Safi of Jaleshwar Municipality-6 near Parikrama Gachi of Jaleshwar drowned. After the drowning was reported at 1 in the afternoon, the police went to search for the child in the water.
After the police found the child dead, the body was sent to Jaleshwar Provincial Hospital for post-mortem. The water has accumulated in the pits after the Ratu River of Mahottari has swept the dam and entered Jaleshwar.
