A young man died after drowning in the Lakhandehi River in Sarlahi's Malangwa Municipality-5, Bhadsar on Tuesday afternoon.
18-year-old Om Thakur, son of local Vinod Thakur, drowned in the river after four local youths went to bathe in Lakhandehi river in Bhadsar. Thakur, who went missing after drowning in the river, was brought out dead after two hours during the search by local and armed police.
The body has been kept at Malangwa Provincial Hospital for post-mortem. The District Police Office said that three other people who were washed away by the river managed to get out safely by swimming.
