A part of the bridge connecting Mangalpur of Kshireshwarnath Municipality-3 of Dhanusha and Sitapur of Mahottari has washed away due to the heavy rain that has been falling for two days.

The traffic here has been stopped after the east side of the bridge was swept away by the flood in Aurhi river. Armed Police Dhanusha SP Nirmal Khadka said that the eastern face of both bridges was washed away by the high flow of the river.

According to SP Khadka, the flow of Ratu Khola on East-West Highway in Lalgarh of Dhanusha has slightly eroded the bridge.

He says that since the water level in Ratu River is constantly decreasing, the bridge can be saved from being eroded.
