Two teenagers died after being struck by lightning on Saturday evening in Hathiyahi village located in Kataharia Municipality-2 of Rautahat. The teenager died due to wind and lightning along with continuous rain.
District Police Office Gaur DSP Raju Karki informed that 16-year-old Seraj Laheri and 16-year-old Naveen Yadav of Hatiyahi village have died.
The district is thundering with continuous heavy rain till evening. The police said that both of them died when they were struck by lightning while they were walking on the road. The bodies of both the deceased have been sent to the Provincial Hospital Gaur for post-mortem.
In the meantime, traffic has been suspended for half an hour on Saturday evening in the Chandranigahpur-Bagmati section of Rautahat due to the wind that blew after the continuous rain. District Traffic Police Office Rautahat informed that the vehicle started moving after the security personnel removed the tree.
