After the tension between two communities in Devpura-Rupaitha of Dhanusha during the celebration of Durga idol on Dasain, the local administration has issued a prohibitory order in the tense area of Janakpur from Friday evening.
In the order issued by Chief District Officer Shankarhari Acharya of District Administration Office Dhanusha, a prohibition order has been imposed to be applied in the area within four forts of Janakpurdham sub-metropolitan city-20 Devpura Rupaitha .
"The road to Lohana on the east side of Janakpur, the road to Bashahia on the west side, Six Lane on the north side and Ganguli bridge on the south side have been banned," CDO Acharya's order says, "Until further orders are issued, gatherings, fasts, sit-ins, sieges, processions, demonstrations and gatherings, arson and vandalism will be dealt with according to the law." The situation became tense when the statue was going to be sold in Telia pond near Devapura-Rupaitha . "Initially the situation was normal." Houses were vandalized along with stone pelting on the Muslim community . We were dispersed," said an officer of the Dhanusha police stationed at the scene, "now we have brought the situation under control. The statue has been sealed in the Telia pond.'
