Pedestrian Chulhai Chaudhary was killed and more than 20 passengers were injured in the bus collision.
A pedestrian has died after being hit by a bus in Khairmara of Mahotari. According to the police, when the bus No. 6 B 1464, which was going to Kathmandu from Gharibathan via Khairmara, met with an accident, the pedestrian died on the spot and more than 20 passengers on the bus were injured in the accident.
The condition of some of the injured is serious . After the accident, the locals rescued the injured and sent them to the hospital, so the condition and number of the injured could not be ascertained, said Police Inspector Laxmiraj Joshi of the District Traffic Police Office Mahotari Bardibas .
Joshi said that while trying to save a pedestrian Chulhai Chaudhary in front of Khayermara School, the bus ran out of control and the accident happened. Traffic Police Inspector Joshi said that Chaudhary died at the accident site due to the collision of the bus.
The injured were immediately rescued by locals and taken to Shubhswastik Hospital in Bardibas. Deputy Superintendent of Police Bikash Balme said that all the passengers in the bus were injured and detailed information is being collected.
Eyewitness Vinay Yadav said that while trying to save a local Chulhai Chaudhary who was on his way after drinking tea, the bus went out of control and hit a nearby coconut tree.
