Parsa police claimed that the murder of a young man at the Dasain Mela in Birganj on the night of Ashtami was the involvement of the "Khuni Darinde Group (Gang)".
In a press conference held at District Police Office Parsa on Thursday, Parsa Superintendent of Police Sudeepraj Pathak said that investigation revealed that the youths who created a WhatsApp group under the name of 'Khuni Darinde Group' killed 20-year-old Golden alias Shivam Kumar Sah Kanu.
20-year-old Golden, who is currently living in Bara Parwanipur Rural Municipality Ward No. 9 and is currently living in Birgunj-10, died when two groups of youths were beaten up in Geetamandir Road, Ward No. 10 of Birganj Metropolitan City, on Tuesday at 11:30 pm during the Dasain Mela in Birganj.
Police Superintendent Pathak said that a group of youths who created a WhatsApp group under the name of 'Khuni Darinde Group' beat and killed Golden's previous fight with Samu last Tuesday night.
Pathak said that when he came to visit the Dasain Mela, Golden was attacked by the 'Khuni Darinde Group' with fists and bamboo sticks, and after that Golden was taken to Narayani Hospital for treatment and the doctor declared him dead.
Police have arrested 5 people including the main accused involved in Golden's murder. The main accused in the murder are 19-year-old Gautam Patel, 20-year-old Subhankar Chaurasia, 22-year-old Amiri Patel alias Karan Prasad Patel, 24-year-old Chandan Chaurasia and 19-year-old Aman Patwa of Birganj Metropolitan Municipality-24 Ramgarhwa.
3 of them were arrested by the police on the night of the incident, while the remaining two were arrested by the police on Wednesday when they escaped from Nepal and were hiding in Balthar village in West Champaran district of Bihar state, India.
