With the help of social media, there has been a family reunion of Punita Devi Ram of Parsa Garhi New-5 Jhinni and her newborn daughter.

Punita, who gave birth to a daughter at Narayani Hospital in Birganj on Tuesday evening, was without family contact for a long time. She left home after her mental condition became weak.

Her husband Karan Ram is currently working as a tractor driver in the hills. After Punita's disappearance, the family searched a lot but could not find her.

Punita gave birth to a newborn baby in the hospital after one of her neighbors saw it on social media and informed her family members.

Punita's mother-in-law Panadevi Chamar and father-in-law Shambhu Ram arrived at Narayani Hospital on Wednesday morning. They took their daughter-in-law and granddaughter home with them on Wednesday.

A team led by Prakash Tharu, a parent of Manav Seva Ashram Birganj, was rescued from the road in a stranded condition from Birganj-14 Bahuri in Punita on Saturday night.
