Last August 25, two prisoners who escaped from Rajviraj Jail were found dead. 50-year-old Turantlal Barhi of Balanbihul rural municipality-4 of Saptari and 40-year-old Santosh Tamang of Saptakoshi municipality-10, who were serving the sentence in the case of duty killing, were found dead.
Barhi was found dead on August 26 in Bishnupur Rural Municipality-6 Ranjitpur and on Tamang 27 Rajgarh Rural Municipality-3 Nargho was found hanging from a tree in Poowarikatti, said DSP Basnet. "Preliminary investigation shows that both of them committed suicide," he said, "further investigation is underway."
