A teenager was injured during a clash between two groups in Parsa's Chhipharmai Rural Municipality-5 Viswa on Thursday evening. The injured person is 16-year-old Golu Alam Dhunia of Chhipharmai-3 Jhalmahia. He was shot in the thigh.
Alam is currently undergoing treatment at Narayani Hospital in Birganj. The spokesperson of the hospital, Dr. Udayanarayan Singh, said that the teenager was shot in the left thigh and the bullet could not be extracted so far. He said preparations are being made to remove the bullet through surgery. He also said that the teenager is safe.
Sudipraj Pathak, Superintendent of Police of Parsa, said that there was a clash between the residents of Ward No. 3 and 5 at about 7:30 in the evening and a shot was fired. He said that after looking at the
events, it was not found that the shooting was aimed at the teenager. Police have detained 2/3 people for investigation. "We are clear about the issue," SP Pathak said, "We are conducting intensive investigations, the results will come soon."
