On August 24th, the police arrested the prisoner who escaped from Jaganath Dewal Central Jail, Kathmandu. The arrested person is 40-year-old Muktinarayan Kurmi of Parsa Kalikamai rural municipality-5 Simra.
Based on a special information, the police team deployed from the area police office, Pokhria, arrested Kurmi from his house around 7:30 pm on Tuesday evening. Kurmi has been sentenced to 25 years imprisonment by the Parsa District Court in the case of killing his wife, 35-year-old Sangeeta Devi Kurmi by strangulation.
Parsa police spokesperson DSP Hari Bahadur Basnet informed that Kurmi will be sent to the relevant prison office.
