On Monday morning at 1 am, the police patrol team searched the hut of Phus where small goats were kept and found 19 kg 126 grams of hashish. The hashish was placed in a carton inside 2 black bags. No person was found with hashish.
Armed Police Superintendent Puranchandra Bhatt has informed that the recovered hashish has been handed over to Pokhria police office. Narcotics, marijuana and hashish are smuggled to India from the rural areas of the district.
Drug smuggling gangs use the route of Gazza and hashish produced in Makwanpur to India. Trafficking gangs often use this road as the forest area and rivers of Parsa National Park are easy to transport drugs.
From time to time these narcotics are seized in cargo vehicles going from Nepal to India.
