Parsa Land Problem Solution Commission has started distributing Lalpurja to landless Dalits and squatters. Lalpurja was distributed to 44 people including 37 landless Dalits and 7 unorganized residents in a program held on Saturday in Sakhuwa Prasauni Rural Municipality-1 Sathwal.
Jaswant Yadav, president of Sakhuwa Prasauni rural municipality, and Tabrez Ahmed, president of the commission, jointly distributed the red parts.
Dalits and unorganized residents who have been living there without Lalpurja for 6 decades have been provided Lalpurja for the first time. Chairman of the Commission Ahmed informed that there is a program to distribute red parts to 1 thousand 197 people of Thori Rural Municipality-4 after Dasain. He said that the target is to distribute red parts to a total of 5,178 people in the
district. He said that out of the applications received from Birgunj Metropolitan Municipality, Parsagadhi Municipality, Thori Rural Municipality and Sakhuwa Prasauni Rural Municipality, 44 people were distributed in the first phase on Saturday.
Earlier, the commission had collected applications with certification from the respective wards and municipalities. After that, a 35-day notice was issued and a land measurement map and report was prepared. After that, after the list was recommended by the executive, the red parts distribution process was started.
