The branch that has been brought into operation since Monday Chief Pankaj Jha has informed. According to him, steam cumin rice which costs Rs. 89 per kg is being sold at Rs. 84 per kg with a discount of Rs.
Aruva fat rice which costs Rs 57 per kg is being sold at Rs 57 with a discount of Rs 5. He said that the branch has been operating a discount price shop every year from Dasain to Chhath festival and since rice is available cheaper than the market price, the shop attracts customers.
Salt Trading Corporation Birgunj branch has given a discount of Rs 2 per packet on salt, said Sanjay Gupta, information officer of the branch.
