Garbage has been accumulating in the market since last Tuesday when the garbage collection vehicle of the municipality was also destroyed by fire.
During the Gen-G movement, cleaning of the garbage in Rajviraj of Saptari has been started. Youth, students, police, employees, people's representatives, politicians and civic leaders who gathered after the appeal of Israt Pravin, Acting Mayor of Rajviraj Municipality, started cleaning together.
Since Tuesday morning, they have been picking up garbage such as plastic, bottles, ashes scattered around the roads, roadsides and gates of public institutions. Garbage had been accumulating in the market since last Tuesday when the municipal garbage collection vehicle was also destroyed by fire during the protest.
After the movement, the situation has returned to normal, some public bodies here have cleaned their offices and partially started operations, while most of the ward offices of Rajviraj Municipality have also started services.
Acting Mayor Pravin said that the work of collecting the details of the damage caused by the fire in the municipality is in the final stage. He said that after the damage details have been collected, services will be provided by the municipality as an alternative.
