The number of cholera infected people in Parsa has gradually started to decrease.

The spokesperson of Narayani Hospital, Dr. Udayanarayan Singh, said that 28 new diarrhea and cholera patients coming to the hospital in 24 hours also confirm that the number of patients is slowly decreasing. "According to the data of the last three or four days, it has been seen that the number of new patients has decreased," he said, "With the rate of infection decreasing, the number of diarrhea and cholera patients will decrease significantly within a week."

 

He said that the arrival of new cholera and diarrhea patients from Ward No. 12 and 13 of Virgunj metropolis, which were initially more infected, has almost stopped.

According to the data released by the District Health Office on Friday, the number of cholera infected people including Birganj and Pokhria is 222.

Among them, 188 people have come in contact with different hospitals and health centers in Birgunj . 14 people have come in contact with Pokharia Hospital. Out of the total infected, 186 people have returned home after treatment. 16 are still undergoing treatment in various hospitals. In the past two weeks, 1,54 patients of diarrhea and cholera have come for treatment, 949 have been discharged and have returned home. Currently, 150 patients with diarrhea and cholera are being treated in different hospitals. Among them, 11 are in ICU, 5 HDU and 89 are in general ward .

So far, among the confirmed cases of cholera, 62 people have come for treatment at Narayani Hospital, 51 at Tarai Hospital, 29 at National Medical College, 11 at Birganj Health Care Hospital and 10 at Bhawani Hospital.
