Saptari Industry and Commerce Association is going to organize Saptari Mahotsav-2082 at Rajviraj for tourism and business promotion. On Saturday, the association held a press conference and informed about the Mahatsava to be organized from October 22 to October 6.
Coordinator Lalu Prasad Agarwal, who is also the president of the association, said that with the aim of promoting local products including industry, commerce, agriculture, tourism, trade, culture and handicrafts, the third Saptari festival is going to be held. 170 stalls with local to international items will be kept in the festival to be held at the Raj Rangshala ground, while for entertainment there will be cultural programs with performances by local, national and international artists, various types of swings, and a park, said Amrit Kumar Sancheti, the co-ordinator of the festival. According to him, the exhibition and sale of automobiles and EV automobiles, tractors, motorcycles, bicycles and their parts, display and sale of agricultural products, seeds, tools, exhibition and sale of leather materials, clay and metal traditional utensils, bamboo and coin materials, promotion and sale of Mithila, Tharu, Newari and Marwari dishes will be done.
Earlier, the first festival in 2068 had a turnover of 5.5 million rupees, while the second one had a turnover of 7 million rupees in 2074. This time 4 lakh spectators and consumers will participate in the festival and the association estimates that the turnover will be 10 million rupees.
