Leaders and workers of Janata Samajwadi Party (JSP) Nepal have burnt the Land Bill. The agitating Jaspa Nepal, claiming that the bill is against the national interest, burnt the bill during a demonstration at Tilathi Koiladi Rural Municipality-8 Topa Bazaar in Saptari on Friday. They also gathered at Topa on Friday and demonstrated with brooms.

In the meeting organized after the demonstration, central member Bobby Yadav said that the current government is going to pass the bill to support its leaders, workers and land mafia. Niraj Mukti, the district secretary of the

party, accused the central president of conspiring to trap him when he did not agree to the bill brought by the government to turn the land of Madhesh into a desert. He also warned of a strong protest if the bill is not withdrawn.
