They came back and organized a protest meeting at the same square and accused that the land bill was going to be passed to favor the land mafia and brokers and not in the interest of the country and the people. Kedar Prasad Yadav, district president of the party, said that if the land bill is passed, the land of Madhesh will be permanently turned into a desert.
Central member Shailendra Mohan Jha accused the national president of trying to trap him when he did not support the land bill which was brought against the national interest. He said that the movement started to prevent the encroachment of the land in the forest area and to protect the biological diversity and environment, to protect the Terai Madhesh from desertification and to protect the water, forest and land will be strongly carried forward.
