Police have arrested 2 people from Birgunj with an amount of more than 14 lakh hundi. Those arrested are 39-year-old Sanjay Sah of Birgunj Metropolitan Municipality-2 Ghusukpur and 41-year-old Shanikumar Thakur of Bara Mahagadhimai Municipality-4.
The police arrested them from Birgunj-2 Ghusukpur Idgah Chowk around 4:30 pm on Thursday. When Sah and Thakur were riding a motorcycle with Indian number plate BR 05 AB 7706 and a motorcycle with state number 2-03-002 P 5544, they were stopped and checked, while they were hidden with false sealing on those motorcycles, they were seized with a total of Rs. DSP Kishore Lamsal, spokesperson of Parsa Police, has informed that additional investigation is being conducted by the Parsa District Court for a 5-day period against them in accordance with section 125 of the Criminal Code, 2074, for the offense of not carrying out transactions related to hundi.
