The Janata Samajwadi Party Nepal has demonstrated in Birgunj on Thursday against the order issued by the Supreme Court to investigate the Gaur murder case.

The party leaders and workers staged a protest at the clock tower here, shouting slogans. The participants in the demonstration shouted slogans like 'Stop the conspiracy against Upendra Yadav', 'Stop insulting the Madhes movement'. 

In the protest meeting, JSP Parsa district president Ramnaresh Yadav accused JSP Nepal president Upendra Yadav of trying to trap him in a biased way. He accused the Supreme Court's order of being motivated by political bias and warned that the Madhes movement would again become a battleground.

Jaspa Nepal's central member Sinshan Shah Kalwar said that the court's move was an attempt to weaken the movement for the rights and identity of the Madhesi people.
