Police arrested an Indian citizen with customs evading clothes and dried deer skin in a rented house in Gaushala market.

According to District Police Office Mahottari, 36-year-old Manoj Rai from Calcutta, West Bengal Province, India, who was living in a rented house belonging to Subodh Yadav in Gaushala Municipality-5, Gaushala Bazar, was arrested with customs evasion clothes and deer skins.

The police team under the command of Police Inspector Ramesh Lama of the Gaushala area police office, while searching the house rented by Rai, seized customs evasion clothes worth 1.8 lakhs and a dried skin of a deer.

Customs evasion clothing has been handed over to customs for necessary action and further investigation is being conducted in connection with Akhetopahar, Deputy Superintendent of Police Shailendra Kumar Bhatta said.
