The Madhesh state government has asked for an explanation from the four health workers of Jaleshwar Hospital in Mahottari for negligence in their service.

Four health workers including two medical officers have been asked for an explanation about the carelessness seen in service delivery in the provincial hospital. Under the direction of Chief Minister Satish Kumar Singh, the Ministry of Health and Population, Madhesh Province, the hospital's medical officer, Dr. Shikha Adhikari and Dr. Sadre Alam and staff nurses Mandika Kumari Yadav and Ranjita Sah have been instructed to submit written answers within three days, according to the Ministry of Health.

The representatives of various associations and stakeholders in Mahottari submitted a memorandum to Chief Minister Singh on Tuesday showing that the people were forced to die prematurely because they could not get treatment at the Jaleshwar Provincial Hospital.

According to the memorandum submitted to the Chief Minister, it is alleged that the hospital did not provide health services to the beneficiaries, did not follow the code of conduct and was negligent in performance. Minister of Health and Population Shatrudhan Prasad Singh said that if the explanation is not given in time and a satisfactory answer is not received, the ministry will take action against the negligence in the service flow.
