Five injured including the mayor in the clash

Five people, including the mayor, were injured when two parties clashed over the opening of the Krishna Janmashtami Fair in Rautahat's Dharahari village on Saturday.

The clash took place when a dispute arose over the opening (ribbon cutting) program of the Krishna Janmashtami Mela in Devahi Gonahi Municipality-9, Dharahari. Dewahi Gonahi town chief Premlal Shah was seriously injured in the clash. He was injured in the head, according to Garuda Police Office of Ela.

5 people including police constables Jagdish Yadav and Ghanshankar Thakur were injured in the clash. City Chief Sah has been admitted to Better Nepal Multispeciality Hospital in Garuda for immediate treatment. He has 15 stitches on his head.

According to DSP Rajan Karki of the local police Garuda, the dispute started after Mayor Shah insisted on opening the fair at the Krishna temple in Dharahari. 

was a religious event and locals suggested that it should not be like a political event. If he should inaugurate, later there was a clash between both parties. 

Police have arrested Radha Mohan Sah, Vinod Sah and Ritik Sah of Dharahari tol on the charge of being involved in the clash. According to the police, investigation is going on about the arrested persons.
