Two people have been arrested in the murder of 85-year-old Fanilal Yadav of Dhangadhimai Municipality-11 Amchok in Siraha. Police arrested two people in the incident after two weeks of investigation.

According to the police, 33-year-old Mahesh Chaudhary of Bhawanipur and 19-year-old Prashant Kumar Mandal of the same place were arrested. They were announced by the police through a press conference on Thursday. Similarly, for the first time, the police have received a seven-day deadline from the Siraha District Court for further investigation on them.

Fanilal was killed by a sharp weapon in his own house at midnight on 14th July. According to the police, during the investigation, Chowdhury has stated that he went there to steal and when Fanilal tried to make noise, he hit various parts of his body with the machete he was carrying.

It has been revealed from the police investigation that they shot Fanilal with a sharp weapon and ran away and that he died due to excessive bleeding. According to Chief Superintendent of Police Anantaram Sharma of District Police Office, Siraha, the incident was jointly investigated by Central Bureau of Investigation (CIB), State Police Office, District Police Office and Ela Police Office Lahan.
