After the death of an inmate of Birganj Jail, the relatives of him protested outside Narayani Hospital for a whole day.

The district administration office Parsa has formed an inquiry committee to investigate the death of 28-year-old Rahul Kumar Shah Turaha, an inmate of Birganj Jail, who died during treatment at Narayani Hospital on Tuesday morning.
Relatives of deceased prisoner Sah protested outside Narayani Hospital for the whole day. In the committee formed by the local administration under the coordination of Assistant Chief District Officer Babulal Regmi, Mukesh Sah Turaha on behalf of the deceased family, Jagdish Sah Turaha, ward member of Ward No. 25 of Birgunj Metropolitan City, representatives of Nepal Journalist Federation Parsa, representatives of the Medical Association, human rights workers, police, representatives of the hospital administration and members of the deceased family are also present. The committee will come to a conclusion as to the actual cause of death and whether or not there was negligence as claimed.
Chief District Officer Ganesh Aryal has said that the committee will submit a report on the truth of the incident within 15 days. Turaha of Birganj Sirsia was taken to the hospital for treatment after he became unwell while exercising in the Birganj jail on Tuesday morning. Although the doctors of Narayani Hospital recommended to be referred elsewhere for further treatment, the relatives of the deceased alleged that the death was delayed due to the delay in the treatment due to the refusal of the prison administration. The administration took action after the family of the deceased and local residents protested outside the hospital and demanded an inquiry into the negligence of both the prison administration and the hospital.
The administration of Narayani Hospital said that Turaha's treatment was started immediately and Turaha died in the ventilator of the emergency room while preparing to go to the ICU from the emergency room.
