Due to continuous rains in the hilly areas, the flow of water in the Saptakoshi river has become the highest this year. The Chief District Officer of Saptari, Bhola Dahal, informed that the water flow has been increasing since Sunday morning and according to the measurement taken at 2 pm, the water flow has reached 189,390 cusecs per second.
According to him, the flow of water in the river is increasing. As the flow continues to increase, red flags and lights are lit at Koshi Barrage as a sign of danger and 26 gates are opened.
