The police fired two rounds in the air at Chhinmasta Rural Municipality-1 Barahi Birpur of Saptari and arrested two people along with brown heroin. On Sunday morning, on the basis of confidential information, the team deployed from the District Police Office and Narcotics Control Bureau arrested them.
SP Gautam Kumar KC, Head of District Police Office informed that when they tried to run away on seeing the police, both of them were taken into custody by aerial fire.
"Even though they mentioned the names of Vishal Rai and Manoj Rai, it is not certain because their address has changed," he said, "We are coordinating with the election office to confirm."
The brown heroin recovered from them is about 200 grams. SP KC said that the weight of gray heroin is also being ascertained and further investigation has been started.
